Will has been designing and building gardens since 2001, and having grown up in the English countryside, it is no surprise that he has made his love of the natural world his life’s work.

Having started his career in SW France restoring various Chateaux and their accompanying grounds for an historic building firm, Will then enrolled at The Chelsea Physic Garden in London to further his training in planting and design. Upon graduating, he spent several years working for a highly successful design studio in Long Island, New York, which showed him just what was possible in scope and scale, whilst furthering his understanding of making gardens in a challenging climate.

The last decade has seen Will grow the practice, with ALD working on projects throughout the UK, Europe and South America, both in the public and private realm. The team at ALD continue to grow, remain truly passionate about what they do, and are continuously striving for excellence in their quest to help their clients realise their dreams for their outdoor space.
